Annual Meeting with the Military Diplomatic Corps

It’s good to have friends 🤝

The Annual Meeting with the Military Diplomatic Corps strengthened partnerships among defence institutions of the Republic of Moldova and foreign partners on bilateral level and within international organisations. During this meeting I was informed together with fellow representatives of the latest on the regional security, national defence reform, transformation of the National Army and contribution of the Republic of Moldova in providing international peace and security.

The ongoing conflict in Ukraine is testing the resilience of the country and of Europe. We need to integrate a whole of society approach to resilience by building interoperability and fostering mutually supportive relationships and partnerships. Glad to see the strong support of partners to Moldova to build resilience and to support national efforts in the future.

Thank you to the MoD of the Republic of Moldova for organising this meeting at such a critical time.

CMX 2023

Glad to have taken part in today’s Main Planning Conference for the annual Crisis Management Exercise (CMX) at NATO HQ. The exercise is designed to practice Alliance crisis management procedures at the strategic political level and will involve civilian and military staffs in allied capitals, at NATO Headquarters, and in both Strategic Commands.

Through enhanced training and exercising, NATO Allies will strengthen our shared awarenessresilience and preparedness which improve the effectiveness of our crisis response system.

EU Job Fair 2022

It was a pleasure to represent today CYIS and speak at a public sector panel at this year’s EU Job Fair on my advice to youth in this domain and the future of work. I was delighted to further engage with early young professionals as a recruiter to share our many opportunities at the Centre.

Thank you to the European Commission Trainees’ Committee for the kind invitation and bringing together a diverse group of public sector professionals.

European Year of the Youth (EYY) 2022

I am glad to have discussed at this week’s EYY policy dialogue with Commissioner Didier Reynders the Right to Repair #R2R.

I engaged with Commissioner Reynders & NGO leaders on:
👉 The requirement to have products designed for repair
👉 Enable opportunities for consumers and repairs to lower the threshold of repairing devices
👉 The need to protect the environment and local communities from avoidable waste and excessive mining of raw materials
👉 The need for stronger regulations for consumer and repairer rights.

We look forward to developing together with NGO leaders concrete proposals in our Open Letter on the Right to Repair.
